Nathan Jody Carter, 62, of 8134 A Benaja Road, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024, at his home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Wilkerson Funeral Home and the burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park with Rev. Ashlee Decker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Nathan was born in Rockingham County to the late Carl and Maggie Snider Carter. He was a member of Fairgrove United Methodist Church. Nathan’s most recent job was with Fairy Tale Farms building barns and fences. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and always looked forward to Sunday afternoon football. Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by his granddaughter Autumn Grace Whitaker; and brother Stanley Ray Carter.
Nathan is survived by his wife Lorelei Carter; sisters Diane Lamb and Cullen and Marilyn Rayle and husband Jimmy; children Darcy Souza, Tony Turecki and wife Amanda, Rose Lopez and husband Javier, Sarah Carter, and Kevin Carter and Sylvia Jones; grandchildren Stewart Brim and wife Cheyanne, Elizabeth Moore, Tim Turecki, Jack Turecki, Ben Turecki, Frank E. Carter, Delton Whitaker, Summer Grace Whitaker, Jessica Lopez and Jenna Lopez; great grandchildren Mohammad Sharari and Willow Brim.
