Nathan McHaney Obituary
Passed away January 6, 2026, at the age of 43. Nathan was born in Lansing, Michigan on August 27, 1982, the son of Thomas and Mary Lou (Green) McHaney. He graduated from Meadowview School in Charlotte. Nathan was a jokester and was known for calling everyone "babies". He enjoyed being around people, and he never forgot a person he met. Nathan also enjoyed sitting and watching the deer and birds out the window. He loved to go camping, up north was a very special place for him.
Nathan is survived by his mother, Mary Lou McHaney; siblings, Andrea (Brad) Piepkow, Jerry (Autumn) Green III; nieces and nephews, Caleb, Isabell, Quinton and Kaydence Piepkow, Amelia and Jace Green; great niece, Za'Veah Lafferty; cousin, David ( Monica) McHaney; grandmother, Maxine Green, as well as many more aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas McHaney; sister, Sara McHaney; paternal grandparents, Samuel and Zelmadene McHaney; maternal grandfather, Jerry Green Sr.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the Mills Funeral Home, Shelly-Odell Chapel in Eaton Rapids. To leave condolences for the family, visit our website www.millsfuneral.com.
