Sharon Taft Obituary
Passed away February 16, 2026, at the age of 83. Sharon was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 24, 1942, the daughter of William and Marilyn (Thompson) Taft. She retired from the State of Michigan after many years of service. Sharon was the secretary to Governor Blanchard and then went on to work for the Department of Education. She and her family enjoyed bowling at the Royal Scot.
She is survived by her children, Gregory (Susan) Washburn, Taryn (Paul) Shick; grandchildren, Ryan Washburn, Matthew Washburn; siblings, Michael Taft, William (Gail) Taft, Sandra (John) Davis. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, William and Marilyn.
At this time, no services are planned. Arrangements were entrusted to the Mills Funeral Home, Shelly-Odell Chapel in Eaton Rapids. To leave condolences for the family, visit our website www.millsfuneral.com.
