Nathan Henry Viland, age 19 of Nixa, died July 5, 2023. He was born on November 4, 2003 in Springfield, to Jon and Christina (Baney).
Nathan was a 2022 graduate of Nixa High School where he played on the Nixa High School Baseball team. He graduated from North American Lineman Training Center in December of 2022. Nathan enjoyed shooting guns, shooting skeet, fishing, being on the river, and driving ATVs.
Survivors include: his father, Jon Viland, and fiance, Lori Aldrich, of Ozark; his mother, Christina Baney and stepfather Doug Baney of Nixa; his grandparents, Donelda and Jim Summers of Salina, Kansas, Sherri Viland and Allyson Ashley of Seymour, and Ron and Ruby Baney of Springfield; great grandmother, Patricia Brown of Salina, Kansas; and aunts and uncles, Vonda and Vic, Jennifer and Jason, Sara and Mike, Delynne and Andrew, and Marc.
Nathan was preceded in death by his siblings, Jackson, Eric, and James; his grandparents, Jim Viland, Murble and Henry Medill, Ruby and Larry Viland, Donald Brown, and Guy Brown.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Adams Funeral Home in Nixa. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. with Rob Berringer officiaiting. Cremation will follow the funeral.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
Cremation rites are entrusted in Adams Crematory.
