CENTERTOWN - Nathan Woolen, 43, of Centertown, Kentucky, passed away on January 11, 2026, at his home.
Nathan was born in Owensboro, Kentucky, in August 1982 to the late Susan Minton Hawkins and Michael Woolen. A gardener and wildlife enthusiast, he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Western Kentucky University, and his knowledge and love of nature were among his greatest passions.
Nathan was a member of Centertown Baptist Church, and his faith in God was very dear to him, as were the people with whom he celebrated and worshiped throughout his life.
In addition to his parents, Nathan was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jerry Minton and Melvin Woolen; his grandmother, Alberta Fleming; and his uncle, Earl Minton.
Nathan is survived by his children, Alice and Cole Woolen, and their mother, Erin Woolen; two brothers, Kevin (Amanda) Woolen and Andrew Woolen; his grandmother, Sue Minton; and numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Memorial services for Nathan will be held at Centertown Baptist Church at a later date due to the weather.
