Macon, Georgia - Services for Nathaniel Cornelius, Jr., are 11:30 AM Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Old Marion Baptist Church with Burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Cornelius was born in Twiggs County to the parentage of Nathaniel Cornelius, Sr., and Mary McIntosh Cornelius. He was educated in the Twiggs County Public School System. He was an Army Veteran who served his country bravely during the Korean War. He was employed as a civilian at Warner Robins Air Force Base for nearly 40 years. Mr. Cornelius was a dedicated member of Shiloh Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board, later moving his membership to Old Marion Baptist Church where he faithfully served alongside his wife, Thelma Sampson Cornelius. Survivors include: children; Carl P. Cornelius, Wilda F. Cornelius, Bruce B. Cornelius, Regina L. Cornelius, Holly C. Hollis and Crystal D. (Anthony) Mobley; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Family contact: 212 Shady Road Plaza, Macon, GA. Hutchings Service
