A Celebration of Nathaniel's life: Will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday March 19, 2021 at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Linton officiating. Visitation: Will be from 5:30 p.m. until time of services Friday. Nathaniel John "Frog" Ferril, 42 of Columbus, Indiana passed away March 12, 2021 in his home. He was born July 18, 1978 in Columbus, Indiana. He is the son of Kathy (Larry) Rudd and John (Charlotta) Ferril. Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home would like to thank everyone in advanced for wearing masks and practicing social distancing while attending gatherings. Nate loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews, and they adored him. He loved to spend time with his friends. He had a big heart and loved to help people. He enjoyed playing basketball and video games. He was known by many as "Frog" and collected all things frog. He will be deeply missed by all. He enjoyed writing lyrics for Christian Rap music. Nathan is survived by his parents Kathy (Larry) Rudd of Taylorsville and John (Charlotta) Ferril of Columbus; a grandmother, Bethel May Taylor of Edinburgh; sisters Leah (Ray Johnson) Knight, Carlotta (Tyrone Williams) Montano of Seymour, Becca Ferril Applegate of Columbus, Linda Ferril Coleman of Seymour, Tasha (Mike) Johnson of Illinois; aunts and uncles Ron (Jane) Ferril of Columbus, Jim (Star) Todd of Waynetown, Charna Todd Howson of North Carolina, David (Wendy) Todd of Illinois, Celena Todd Gammon of Illinois, Judy Stonehocker of Oregon, Janice (Jay) Cassell of Edinburgh, Jeanette (Lonnie) Stroud of Edinburgh, Jaylan (Bob) Marks of New York; nieces and nephews Alyssa Underwood, Drake and Gage Coleman, Allie and Lydia Ferril, Matthew, Carolyn, and Joe Johnson; as well as several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Florence and Gib Henry and Mary and Joe Ferril; uncles Jack Ferril and Rick Henry, as well as his dog Diesel.

I am sorry to learn of the news of Nathan's passing. It seems like yesterday we were just kids. We spoke at Christmas this year, I wish we had spoke more. He will be missed.
