Nathaniel Joseph Kinney, 23, went to his everlasting rest on June 18th, 2024. He was born December 13, 2000, in Austin, to his parents Jeffrey and Racheal Kinney.
Nathaniel was the second of ten children born to Jeffrey and Racheal. He grew up in
Pflugerville, Texas, but spent his childhood summers at his grandfather's farm in Port Hope Michigan. After marrying his wife, Ivy née Hebda, Nathaniel moved to San Marcos where he lived until his death.
Always quick to pick up a new skill, Nathaniel spent his childhood immersed in diverse activities. An avid Boy Scout, he was a capable camper, tireless and adventurous, and earned his Eagle Scout award in 2019. He was an altar server at his local parish and, later, involved in the youth groups such as FISCHETeen. He excelled in whatever athletic activities he participated in, whether taekwondo classes or a pickup game of ultimate frisbee. A natural handyman, he took advantage of his grandfather's workshop to go beyond fixing household objects to eventually forging model swords and knives. By early adulthood he had become a proficient photographer, running a small photography business.
Ever-generous with his talents, Nathaniel often freely photographed events, fixed broken appliances, or gave away the works of his forge.
Nathaniel and Ivy were married on January 8th, 2021. Together they had two children. Aidan 4 and Lila 1. He was a loving father.
Beloved by many friends from work, scouts, school, and church, and coming from a large family, Nathaniel will be greatly missed.
Nathaniel is survived by his wife, Ivy, and their children, Aiden and Lila; by his parents, Jeffrey and Racheal, and his siblings, Brendan, Amelia Quitzau and her husband Nathan, Maria, Dominic, David, Colleen, Regina, Benedict, and Samuel; by in wife's parents Andy and Jill Hebda and their children Doug, Peter, and Ginny; He is also survived by his grandparents, Kathy Kinney, and Steven and Marilyn Braun.
