Nathaniel Cooper Williams Jr.

Nathaniel Cooper Williams Jr., a devoted family man and respected community member, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, in Yorktown, Virginia, at the age of 94. Born on April 8, 1931, in Richmond, Virginia, Nathaniel led a life marked by service, faith, and love.

Nathaniel proudly served his country in the Air Force, where he dedicated many years before retiring. Also a distinguished Weather Officer where he served his community for many years until also retiring. His career was characterized by a commitment to excellence and a passion for travel, which he continued to enjoy throughout his life. Whether journeying for work or pleasure, Nathaniel found joy in exploring new places and meeting new people.

A man of deep faith, Nathaniel was an active member of Warwick Assembly of God on Todds Lane in Hampton, Virginia, for many years. He was deeply involved with his church community, often participating in missions that took him out of town to help those in need. His dedication to his faith and his community was unwavering.

Nathaniel shared a loving marriage with his beloved wife, Virginia Nealy Williams, until her passing in February 2024. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Nathaniel is preceded in death by Virginia, his parents Elsie and Nathaniel Williams Sr., and his loving brothers.

He leaves behind a legacy of love through his surviving family: his stepdaughter Cindy Morgan; his daughters Lynda Patterson, Nancy Williams, and Cindy Williams-Porter; his grandsons Jeremy Morgan, Justin Montecalvo; his granddaughters Kate and Erin Patterson; and several great-grandchildren. He is also remembered fondly by his loving extended family and friends.

Nathaniel's life was a testament to the values of service, faith, and family, touching all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved him.
