It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the sudden passing of Ned Gayer on July 24th, 2025. Ned was born in The Dalles, Oregon on June 20th, 1974, to Earla and Scott Gayer. Ned lived most of his life in Woodburn, Oregon, graduating from Woodburn High School in 1993, where he participated in several sports, most notably, football. Ned was a business owner, running his own barber shops in Mt. Angel, Oregon and then in Tacoma, Washington. Ned also spent time working in Tacoma for a shipping business and in his father's jewelry store in The Dalles. While in The Dalles, Ned got engaged to Brandy, who preceded him in death, passing away in 2006. Ned was very handy and artistic. He was able to work on, make or fix pretty much anything around a house. Carpentry was his strength. Ned inherited his family's artistic eye and talent. He was a very good sculptor and worked in geometric design. Ned had a passion for gardening and cooking. He grew fantastic gardens every year and loved using what he produced in his homecooked meals. He loved family BBQ's and playing yard games. Ned loved animals, especially his dog Elsa who he had raised for over the past 9 years, going on daily walks and taking her wherever he went. Ned leaves behind many people who loved him. His father Scott and his mother Earla. His sisters Natalie (Sanders), Chelsea, Carolyn, Kendra and brother-in-law, Ian Sanders. His nephews and nieces Holden, Sloan, Dimi, Asti and Eli.
