Carol E. Flanders passed away on September 8th, 2025. She was born July 22, 1932 to Eldor W. Zuege and Loraine M. (Dearing) Zuege in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

She graduated from Washington High School in 1950. After that she pursued and earned a teaching degree in Home Economics at the Stout Institute in Menomonie, Wisconsin. It was there that she met Lee C. Flanders. They were wed on June 25, 1954.

Shortly after the birth of their first child, Charles, they moved to West Bend, Wisconsin. Aside from a brief period in Kenosha, Wisconsin, they would call West Bend home for the rest of their lives. Two more children were born to them, Eric and Michael. Carol relinquished her teaching position to engage in full-time child raising, but continued to pursue a number of other interests including: copper tooling, painting, dried flower arrangement, travelling and quilting. She also enjoyed long drives in the country with Lee, playing Sheepshead with her family, and contract bridge with almost anyone. She was an active member of the Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church.

Carol was preceded in death by her Parents, Eldor and Loraine Zuege and her husband Lee C. Flanders. She is survived by her son Charles and his wife Susan (Klein), her son Eric, her son Michael and his wife Kathleen (Barnett). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Austin, Alice, Hunter, Clare, Keaton and Brigid as well as three great-grandchildren: Emmet, Dorothy, and Emery.

A celebration of Carol's life will be held at a future date.
