Neicie Jeanette McKinion, 75, died Friday, July 26, 2024 in Canton at her residence. Jeanette was born the third of four daughters on January 7, 1949 to Rev. Horace and Mary Keene, in Union, Mississippi.
Jeanette grew up and attended elementary through high school in Union. She obtained her certification and licensure in nursing home administration as a young woman.
Jeanette spent the majority of her career in administration at Beverly Healthcare in Cleveland, Mississippi.
She was known to be an excellent leader in healthcare, maintaining clean, attractive facilities and had a gift for organization, detail, and creating a warm, patient family friendly environment.
Her children described her as a capable, focused, and independent businesswoman who was always beautifully dressed and poised. She was the best at what she did and often was sent to other nursing facilities to make improvements and to train other administrators and staff.
They stated there was nothing she could not create or accomplish.
