Neil E. Briley, age 69, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born on August 19, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Polk Ewing Briley and Carolyn Irene Piercy Crowell. Neil proudly served in the United States Army for eight years, and during his time in the military, he also served in the President's Band. He enjoyed to ride motorcycles, scuba dive and travel, but most of all, he loved to play the drums.
In addition to his parents, Neil was preceded in death by his sister, Janna Sherrod.
He is survived by his three sisters, Danita Starkey (Kevin) of Medon, Tammy Lee of Jackson and Ginny New (William) of Medon; nieces and nephews, Jimmy Sherrod, Amanda Cockrell, Julie Sherrod, Andrew Davis, Kaylea Stout, Chase Wheeler, River New and Cheyenne Smith; and several great nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 13, 2025, in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home with Nick O'Shields officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour on Saturday in the chapel.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers: Tony McCaslin, Kent Elrod, Eric Johnson, and Rick Loncar.
