Neil E. Engstrom

Neil E. Engstrom, age 87 of West Bridgewater, MA, passed away after a long battle with dementia on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Brockton Post Acute Care (formerly Baypointe) in Brockton, MA.
Born on February 3, 1938, in Brockton, MA, he was the eldest son of the late Roland and Alice (Babcock) Engstrom of East Bridgewater, MA. Neil graduated from East Bridgewater High School with the Class of 1956. He worked for several supermarket chains, eventually retiring as a buyer from Trucchi's Supermarket.
Neil had a deep love for cars. He collected many toy models and displayed them in his home. He was a member of the Classic Thunderbird Club of New England and the Classic International Thunderbird Club. Neil also owned a 1957 Thunderbird, which he took great pride in.
Neil was the loving husband of Kathleen Engstrom of West Bridgewater. Neil was the devoted brother of the late Peter Engstrom of East Bridgewater and the late Roy Engstrom and his late wife, Catherine Engstrom of East Bridgewater. He was the father of Tambree Engstrom of East Bridgewater, Tara Engstrom and her husband Fred Rezler of Land O' Lakes, FL, and Todd Engstrom and his wife Karin of East Bridgewater. He was the uncle of Christine Emmons of Austin, TX, Peter E. Engstrom and his wife Jennifer of East Birdgewater, and Anne Engstrom of Connecticut.
He was the beloved "Gamp" to Megan and Sarah Engstrom, and "Uncle Neil" to Nicholas and Natalie Engstrom. Neil will be remembered as a steadfast and caring brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 11th from 9:00-10:00 AM in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 S. Main St., West Bridgewater, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
