Neil C. Malone, age 84, of Coffeyville, Kansas, passed from this life into his eternal life on January 10, 2026 at his home with his family near.
Neil was born on May 27, 1941, in Chautauqua County, Kansas, to Everett and Eula (Wells) Malone. He was the seventh of nine children. He attended rural school at Belknap and graduated from Sedan High School in 1959.
Neil met Mary Harkins in 1960, and they were united in marriage on December 23, 1961. They made their home in Coffeyville, Kansas, where they spent their entire married life together.
Neil worked for Stern Fixture, Bob Esch Pattern Shop, and Quality Patterns in Cherryvale, Kansas. He later became self-employed through Malone Patterns for more than 20 years. He was last employed by Neodesha Plastics, where he worked until his retirement. Neil was a lifelong member of First Southern Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Malone, of the home; daughters Vickie McKenna of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Gayla Kulwicki of Coffeyville, Kansas; twin granddaughters McKenzie Kulwicki of Coffeyville, Kansas, and McKaulie Kulwicki of Tulsa, Oklahoma; several foster grandchildren; brothers Les Malone and Keith Malone; and sister Winifred Bryan.
Neil was preceded in death by his son, Troy Malone; his parents, Everett and Eula Malone; sisters Marilyn Widdows, Edith Bridgwater, Margaret Wimberley, and Virginia Banning; and brother Ernie Malone.
Neil enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and helping wherever he was needed. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Memorial Service celebrating Neil’s life will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 10 am at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel 2405 Woodland Ave., in Coffeyville. Neil will be laid to rest at Restlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 from 6-8 pm also at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in memory of Neil and may be left in care of the chapel.
