Nelda was born on October 28, 1932 in West Monroe and passed away at her residence on September 10, 2025. Nelda was preceded in death by her husband, Issac Crain; daughter, Vicki Lynn Day; parents, Otis and Dera Whitlock; brothers, O.C. Whitlock, Charles Whitlock, James Whitlock, Marvin Whitlock; and a niece, Kay Whitlock.
Nelda is survived by her children, Betty Gregory and husband Odie, David Crain, Paul Crain and wife Tanya; grandchildren, Tammy Hunter and husband Terry, Randall Gregory and wife Jessica, Dustin Crain, Molli Eppinette and husband Corey, Brittany Reed and husband Dakota, Clayton Crain and wife Abby, Brody Crain, Kimberly Day, Brian Day and wife Crystal; 10 great-grandchildren and Mamaws "Special Baby" Collen; 1 great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews and other cherished family and friends.
Honoring Nelda as pallbearers are Corey Eppinette, Dakota Reed, Clayton Crain, Brody Crain, Dustin Crain and Michael Hearne. Honorary pallbearers are David Crain and Paul Crain.
