Nellie Laverne Egan, 77, passed away July 29, 2024 at home in Henderson, Nevada. She was born on June 1, 1947, in Sparland, Illinois. Her parents, James Edwin White and Helen Laverne Griswold were indeed grateful to be blessed with her being the oldest of four. She married William Egan on April 27, 1966, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Nellie’s early life was spent in Illinois. Her favorite things to do there were fishing in the canal with her dad and spending time with her numerous cousins. At about the age of 11 or 12 the family moved west and landed in the great state of Nevada. She attended Basic High School where she would graduate in 1965.
She was known for her loving giving nature, her natural dance moves, her love of music, her love of seafood, her crocheted blankets, her warm inviting smile, her beautiful green eyes, her love of genealogy and temple work, and her undeniable love for her Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill. Her mother, Helen Pederson, her father, James White, sister Janice Baetje, and daughter, Rosie Davis.
She is survived by her children William Egan (Tammy), Susan Browning (Mike) and Robert Egan (Alesia) . 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Her Sister Shirley Bearden, Brother James White and many more loved ones.
Funeral Services will be Saturday Aug 3, 2024 at 2 PM with Visitation @ 1 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 1002 Burkholder Boulevard, Henderson, Nevada 89015 Internment will be held at a later date.
