Myrrel Louise Deputy

A beloved and adored Christian mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who was known for her sweet laughter and great sense of humor; Myrrel Louise Deputy, 79, of Henderson, Nevada, released her soul to the Savior on December 12, 2025, and received her eternal reward.

Myrrel was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to Earl and Billie Reynolds. She was a forever fan and bled blue for the Dallas Cowboys. Due to her father’s profession of working in the oil fields, they lived all over Texas, Arkansas and eventually Alaska. Myrrel and her brother Bill were known for pulling pranks on their younger brother Tom and his friend A.J. The stories are limitless and include serving mud pies to Tommy and having A.J. hang upside down from a tree limb and telling him that it would be ok to let go. You can only imagine what happened.

Myrrel met the love of her life, Pat Deputy, at a roller rink in Anchorage, Alaska when he took a day off from the military base. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married. It was going so well that Myrrel tried to run Pat over with their vehicle. This led to over 59 years of a wild and crazy life together. Myrrel did not travel much and preferred to be around her home, but her dream vacation came to fruition when Pat took her to Hawaii for their 25th wedding anniversary.

Kim Michelle arrived on January 14, 1967, in Anchorage, Alaska. Once he was out of the military Pat, Myrrel and Kim left for California. Craig Patrick soon joined the Deputy’s on September 7, 1969, in San Jose, California. Myrrel loved her 2 children more than anything in this world and would do anything for them.

Myrrel’s favorite role in life was being a grandparent. She treasured time with Camila, Juliana & Scarlett. Myrrel cherished & loved these girls to the moon and back.

Myrrel had a soft spot for the family’s furry friends (Dizzy, Ranger, Cookie, Lulu, Knight, Harley and Pixie) treating each and every one like the valuable family members they were. I don’t remember a time in her life when she didn’t have one of man’s best friends sitting beside her at night to watch some of her favorite T.V. shows.

Myrrel retired from Hallmark Cards where she had been a Retail Merchandiser. She had also worked for the US Post Office in Alaska and multiple schools/preschools in California and Arizona.

Myrrel was an avid bowler for 25+ years and absolutely loved her bowling community. She bowled in 2 leagues per week for many years and at one time was a league administrator. She had to slow down a bit after breaking her hip 3 years ago, but she continued up until her death.

Myrrel was an active member at Victory Road Church of Christ, devoting her time and energy to teaching bible class, attending women’s bible studies and giving rides to those in need on any given Sunday. Her faith was a priority, and prayer was a vital part of her daily walk.

Myrrel will always be remembered for her loving and kind spirit and the way that she always wanted to help and serve others. We couldn’t have asked for a better mother, grandmother, sister and friend and we will miss her every day. Myrrel’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those who were able to connect with her.

Myrrel was preceded in death by Billie Reynolds (1977), Earl Reynolds (1983) and Pat Deputy (2/2025) and is survived by brother Tom Reynolds, brother Bill Reynolds, daughter Kim Deputy, son Craig Deputy, granddaughters Camila Deputy, Juliana Deputy & Scarlett Peterson.
