A true son of the Sunflower State, Joe Bowman entered this world on June 28, 1943, in Junction City, Kansas. On March 12, 2026, Joe peacefully passed away surrounded by his beloved family, at his home in Boulder City, NV. Joe’s life was defined by his overwhelming show of support to his family and friends and a legendary work ethic. He reluctantly retired last year at 82 years young!
A graduate of Emporia State (Class of 1965), Joe spent 27 distinguished years with John Deere, earning numerous accolades for his leadership and sales growth. When the industry shifted in 1992, Joe displayed his characteristic resilience. Rather than retiring, he reinvented himself in the world of finance leasing, eventually becoming a pillar of the Utah trucking industry through his work with Wallwork Financial.
While he relished his professional successes, Joe’s greatest dedication and joy was his family. He and Linda built a life together that welcomed friends, family and chosen family in their homes and happy places. He was a devoted father to his daughters, Kelly and Mindy, and a caring, attentive Papa to granddaughter Abbi. Grateful for some male supporters, Joe gladly welcomed in his son-in-laws Gerald and Glen. He worked hard to ensure his girls had more than what they needed; their desired opportunities in education, recreation and travel. When he wasn’t hauling hay or helping with homework, Joe could be heard cheering on the Denver Broncos, KState, and CU – and when the snow fell, the self-proclaimed "Ski King" hit the slopes with his family - never missing the last run of the day.
Joe is survived by his daughters, Kelly (Gerald), Mindy (Glen)and his beloved granddaughter, Abbigale. Joe will be laid to rest with his wife of 52 years, Miss Linda, who passed away on March 4, 2020.
A celebration of life will be held at 10am, on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Boulder City (NV) Cemetery Pavilion, with internment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emergency Aid of Boulder City 702.293.0332 or eabcnv.org.
