Nell Lee Rhoades, 85, of Gladewater, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025.
She was born in Gilmer, Texas on October 27, 1939 to Nell and Rufus Clark. Nell fulfilled her life's purpose as a loving, hardworking, mother to five wonderful children. Throughout this time, she also pursued many other occupations. Nell maintained her kindness, grace, compassion, appreciation of beauty, love of family and friends with gratitude for her long life, full of wonderful and varied experiences. Nell was known for loving Jesus, western, and coffee. She loved to cook especially for a big holiday meal. Most importantly it was without a doubt that she loved her beautiful family!
Nell was preceded in death by her mother - Nell Clark, father - Rufus Clark, brother - James Clark. Nell is survived by her brother - Jimmy Clark and wife Brenda; daughters - Sherry Moss and husband Danny, Stephanie Tucker and husband Kevin; sons - Ferris Ellis and fiancé Laurie Browning, Zachary 'Chad' Ellis and wife Bree, and Billy 'Zane' Rhoades , and former daughter in law - Shannon Ellis; along with seventeen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
Visitation at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas on February 26, 2025 from 4pm - 5pm with a Celebration of Life starting afterwards at 5pm.
