Nelson Copes

James Nelson Copes, 68, of Spartanburg, died Saturday, February 9, 2008, at his home. Born July 5, 1939, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late James Platt and May Hallman Copes. He was employed with Geer Drug Company for many years before retiring from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He was a member of The Episcopal Church of the Advent. Survivors include a brother, Donald Maurice Copes and his wife Sandi of Middleburg, FL; three sisters, Irene Annette Bright and her husband Jerry Bright of Margate, FL, Linda Kay Ellis and her husband Roy of Boiling Springs, and Phyllis C. Buhl and her husband Bobby of Chesnee; three nephews; one niece; and several great-nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2008, at Floyd�s Greenlawn Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 14, 2008, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Susan Perrin.
