Priddy died on November 29,

2022. He was

with the caring and dedicated individuals of EGIS Home Care at the time of his death, in his own home, on his own terms. Please take a moment and raise a glass in his memory.

Holt was born on April 9, 1933 in Stanton, Texas to John Franklin and Cora Mae (nee Wells) Priddy both of whom were school teachers. He grew up on the family cotton farm outside of Stanton, graduated high school from Schreiner Institute in Kerrville, Texas and went on to The University of Texas where he earned a degree in Economics. After college, he joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Columbus, Ohio. Following military service, he returned to Texas where he found the love of his life, Mildred (nee Wilson). The two were married for 57 years and raised three children.

Dad fell in love with New Mexico on his honeymoon and 12 years later was able to move with the family in tow thanks to a job with the New Mexico Rural Electric Cooperative Association. His work with the "Co-op" allowed him to visit the entire state and meet a cast of characters who have filled our hearts with love and gratitude ever since.

After working at the Co-op, we're not really sure how he made a living but it was legal and we were never want of anything. He was forever available to his family and friends. He

travelled to New Zealand numerous times to see his daughter and her family and wound up with a network of amazing friends on

the other side of

the Pacific. He

travelled to

Alaska to be with his son and his family as often as possible.

Holt was predeceased by his older brother, John F., Jr., wife, Mildred, eldest daughter, Catherine Bugg, grandson, Wilson Murray and niece Jane Gardner. He is survived by daughter, Laura Murray, and her husband, Leicester, of New Zealand; son, Nelson Priddy and his wife, Diane Preziosi, and two children, Ella and Declan, of Anchorage, Alaska; grandson, Quinten Bugg, of Amarillo, Texas; great nephew, Jeffrey Gardner, and wife, Anne, and great nephew, Jay Gardner, of Dallas, Texas, . There is not enough space in this column to mention all of the good friends he met along the way.

A funeral service will be conducted at Christ Lutheran Church in Santa Fe, New Mexico at 2:00PM on Thursday, January 5th, 2023. Dad liked flowers and florists. If you would like to get flowers in his memory and share them with another to brighten their day and yours, please do so!
