Nereo M. Lopez Obituary
PHARR- Nereo M. Lopez, 81, died Friday, December 13, 2024, at McAllen Heart Hospital.
Nero will be dearly missed by his friends and family. He was a warm hearted, funny man who always tried his best to support his family, friends and his community.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Reymundo and Antonia Lopez; ten siblings, Jesus Lopez, Eliseo Lopez, Luis Lopez, Inocencio Lopez, Guadalupe Lopez, Francisco Lopez, Refugio Lopez, Lucila Leos, Reymundo Lopez Jr., and Roberto Lopez.
Mr. Lopez is survived by his wife, Toshiko Elaine Lopez; two children, Nadine (Jaime) Guajardo, Nereo Lopez Jr.; seven siblings, Jeronimo Lopez, Juan J. Lopez, Catalina L. Godina, Lala L. Garza, Oralia L. Soto, Virginia L. Luna, and Josefina Lopez.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2024, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Military Honors will be conducted by VFW McAllen Post 8788
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
