It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Neta Fae Wheeler, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She peacefully passed away on November 24th, 2024, at the age of 99.
Neta Wheeler was a woman of unwavering faith, boundless joy, and immense wisdom. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, always offering a warm smile, a kind word, and a hearty laugh. Her love for her family was a testament to her enduring affection.
Born on October 2nd, 1925, in Royce City, Texas, to Samuel and Jesse Aston, Neta was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jim Wheeler, her sons, Jimmy and Randy Wheeler, her parents & her three brothers Clyde Aston, Maurice Aston, and her twin Johnny Ray Aston.
She is survived by two daughters, Joy Phillips of a Tyler and Patsy Cuson of Denton, her sister Maxine McCune of Amarillo and nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in the chapel of Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home in Cisco, Texas. Reverend Ron Allman will officiate the service. Burial will be at the Texas State Veteran's Cemetery of Abilene.
The family kindly requests prayers during this difficult time. They find solace in knowing that Neta is now at peace in Heaven.
