Nettie Isaac

It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Nettie Isaac (Wall) announces her passing on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at the age of 93. She passed away peacefully with family by her side at her Glengarda Hospice.
She will lovingly be remembered by her children Henry (Kathy), John (Helen), Dave (Sarah), Peter (Ronda), Abe (Becky), Harv, Jenny (Danny) and Ed (Pat). Her legacy also includes 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, 4 of her 7 siblings also mourn her passing.
She was predeceased by her husband John, her grandson Tyler, and her great-granddaughter Haylee.
Nettie was born on September 8th, 1929, near Hague. When she was about 9 years old her family moved to take up a homestead in Swan Plain. When she was 14, her family returned to Hague. After dating for 2 years, she married her sweetheart, John on July 3rd, 1949. After a few moves within Saskatchewan and Alberta they settled in Blumenthal. They were happily married for 40 wonderful years. Together they raised 8 children. It was at their home in Blumenthal where many wonderful memories were made, such as a houseful of people at Christmas and birthdays, wiener roasts and playing outside in their yard. The centre of these memories is always the laughter, card playing and the food, oh the delicious food she could prepare.
She had many interests. Gardening, cooking, knitting, bowling, writing, poetry, Kaiser, playing the organ and playing the lottery. Always looking for the big win. She became a working girl in 1974 and continued working until 1994. Mom became a widow very early, at the age of 59. Being the strong woman that she was, she overcame that very sad part of her life, but always missed John.
She was alone for 10 years until she married Corney Isaac in 2000. Together they continued to live in Blumenthal until Corney's passing. Again, she was alone but always strong in her faith that her Lord was with her.
She married Ben Wiebe in 2012. She left Blumenthal and became a city girl. She remained living in Saskatoon until the Fall of 2021 when Ben passed away. Her family knew she could no longer live on her own and she moved into the Borden Care Home. It was there she lived until she went into hospital on December the 28th.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the Borden Care Home for her care for the 1 year and 4 months that she resided there. While she lived at the home she spent many hours playing the organ which the staff and fellow residents enjoyed immensely. Her knitting needles were very often clicking away making scarves and slippers by the dozens. When her Blue Jays were playing, her feet were up in her recliner, and she was rooting them on. She received a letter from the Blue Jay's telling her she was a Super Fan. We were able to spend a Mother's Day, a birthday and many visits while that was her home.
There are no words to extend our gratitude to the Glengarda Hospice and their staff where Mom spent her last 5 days.
We the family will miss her everyday but rejoice in knowing she is reunited with those she loved who went on before her.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, January 29th, 2023, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., at Martens Warman Funeral Home, 402 Central Street West, Warman, SK.
The Funeral Service for Nettie will be held on Monday, January 30th, 2023, 1:00 p.m., at the Reinfeld Bergthaler Mennonite Church, east of Hague, SK. Interment to follow at the Blumenthal Cemetery, south-east of Hague, SK.
