It is with deepest sorrows that our family announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Nhung "Debbie" Kieu Mai, age 74, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 10:15 AM.
Debbie lived a life of Christ-like servitude, always looking for ways to help others. This is something she instilled in everyone she met. Whether it was sharing her own home with those in need, giving of belongings and time to minister to those who were hurt, she always found ways to lift others up, even if that meant less for herself.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Dr. David Phuoc Mai; Eldest Son, Danny Vu Mai, wife, Anna Thuy-Dzung; daughters, Emily and Elina; Youngest Son, Donny Viet Mai, wife, Jill Ann; daughters, Ayla and Evie; grand-nieces, nieces, ( a smaller handful of nephews/grand-nephews) as well as her sisters, brothers and in -laws and their families, who all hope to keep her cheerful and servant attitude alive in all of us!
Services honoring and remembering Debbie Mai will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 21, in the Click Funeral Home Middlebrook Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Edgewood Cemetery, Knoxville, TN.
In lieu of flowers and gifts please consider a donation in memory of Debbie to Homes of Love- Vietnam, Homesoflove.org/donate or to your favorite charity of your choice.
We extend our gratitude for your sympathy and support during this time of grief. Your presence, thoughts, and prayers are greatly appreciated.
We mourn for ourselves but are happy that she is no longer in pain. We will see her again whole and healthy in Christ's heavenly Kingdom.

I was so sad to hear that our sweet Debbie passed away. I was a patron of Debbie´s for many years at her salon. She was truly one of the nicest and kindest people I knew. We had lots of laughs together ; I called her Dr. Debbie because she was so smart and always had a new remedy for whatever pain I had at that time! She always had her phone or iPad handy to show off the latest photos of her family, especially the grandchildren. I know she will be dearly missed by her beautiful family and many friends.
I am so very sorry for your loss. My deepest condolences.
