HOLLY RIDGE - Nicholas Jeffrey Andrade, 26, of Holly Ridge, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel.
Nicholas was born on November 28, 1998, in Plantation, Florida. From a young age, he had a passion for building and creating, often spending hours with his beloved Legos or watching his favorite childhood show, Bob the Builder. He graduated from high school on May 27, 2017, and went on to fulfill his lifelong dream of serving in the United States Marine Corps, completing boot camp on July 6, 2018. Known for his resilience and determination, Nicholas once endured over half of his basic training with a broken patella bone, never once complaining.
Beyond his military service, Nicholas was a talented musician who taught himself to play both the electric guitar and drums. He had a deep love for metal music, rave concerts, and mosh pits. He was also a devoted uncle who brought joy and laughter to his nieces and nephew through playful games, science lessons, and endless stories.
Nicholas is preceded in death by his grandmother, Joy McPherson, Andrew McPherson, and loved ones who welcomed him home with open arms.
He is survived by his parents, Angela and Dwaine Clarke; his siblings, Ketemaa Williams, Kailyn Fields, and Aahmes Williams; and his cherished nieces and nephew, Acacia, Michaelle, and Elijah. He also leaves behind extended family members, dear friends, and countless others whose lives he touched with his humor, strength, and kindness.
Nicholas will be remembered as a fighter, a dreamer, and a loyal friend. His unwavering spirit and loving heart will live on in the memories of those who knew and loved him.
