Nick is preceded in death by his brother, Jeremy Arce; his grandparents, John and Julie Zelenka, and Bill Arce; his step -father, Jeffrey Hagman; his step-brother, Jeffery Whitacre, and his uncle Stephen Arce.
Nick's 40+ year battle with cancer has ended. He is now with his older brother, Jeremy, who passed away over 32 years ago. Nick loved life, living, golf, and loved the water. He so much loved his family & friends, his music, sports and so many other things. He sure showed it with that smile!
Nick also loved WWE Wrestling and he participated in every sport that
Special Olympics would offer.
Nick worked at McDonalds, Meijers and MI Abilities. He played a lot of video poker and solitaire. He loved card games poker & blackjack.
He really loved his annual trips to Dune Shores Resort in the UP and the springtime trips to his Grandparents, Bill & Beverly Arce's home on the golf course, in Florida. He took pride in being involved in the golf outings and the Snowball Dances in support of the Joel Jeremy Memorial Fund. This is a charity that was started in the name of his brother, Jeremy.
He had many, struggle-free years but that all seemed to change when he turned twenty-three, and then suffered a series of multiple setbacks through the years. He fought through these setbacks, and he always bounced back with that wonderful smile.
Nick will be so dearly missed, but we will always remember his smile, his good-natured way, and his love for everybody he ever met.
