It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Nicholas Gentile of Marlboro, NJ, on March 22, 2024, at the age of 26. Nicholas was a cherished son, brother, uncle, grandson, cousin, and friend who touched the lives of those around him in profound and enduring ways.
Born in Marlboro, New Jersey to Lisa and Richard Gentile, Nicholas grew up with his loving brothers, Robert (Emily) and Steven (Monica), and was deeply bonded with his cousins Desiree, Garrett, and Paul, with whom he shared countless cherished memories and adventures. He shared a special bond with his niece, Isabella, and nephew, Hudson, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Nicholas proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army, completing a tour in Iraq where he demonstrated bravery, dedication, and a deep sense of duty. After his service, he continued to embody the spirit of giving by volunteering with the local first aid and supporting those around him. His commitment to helping others knew no bounds.
A man of many passions, Nicholas loved the great outdoors. Whether he was fishing, camping, or simply spending time with his family, especially his father, he was happiest surrounded by nature and his loved ones. Nicholas's legacy is one of compassion, service, and love. His absence leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who knew him.
Family and friends may visit on Monday, April 1, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, at Waitt Funeral Home, 501 Route 79, Morganville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd, at 11:00 am, at St. Clement Roman Catholic Church, 172 Freneau Avenue, Matawan. Entombment will follow at Marlboro Memorial Cemetery, Marlboro.
