Nicholas Gross Obituary

Nick was a hardworking man family man who retired from Caterpillar in the mid-90s. After his retirement, he drove a Pace bus for many years. His love of transportation led to hobbies of model trains, trollies and buses. Nick never went anywhere without his train engineer cap. He was a very active member of St. Anne Catholic Church, where he was involved in the choir, lector and usher. Nick was proud to be a member of one of the founding families of St. Anne Parish.
He is survived by his daughters Julia (Roger) Nattkemper, Marjorie (Nicklas) Salvaggione, Dorothy (Jason) Ramey, grandchildren Adria Ramey, Vynn Nattkemper, Nathaniel Nattkemper, and his sister Eileen Gross.
He was preceded in death by his wife Gail Emma Gross.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL 60543. Burial to follow at Risen Lord Cemetery in Oswego, IL.
