Nicholas P. "Nick" Karavas, 67, of Dahlonega passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024.
Born December 9, 1956 in Bronx, New York to the late Peter and Pearl Karavas, he had lived in Lumpkin County for the past 3 years having moved from Redwood Valley, California. He enjoyed living in the Chattahoochee National Forest. Nicholas was employed as a Sous-Chef at Forrest Hills Resort and was an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed deep sea diving and taking care of his wife. Nick was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church where he served as an event coordinator and sang in the choir. He loved the Lord and loved his church congregation. Also preceding him in death was a niece, Andrea Lucci.
Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Sherry Karavas, Dahlonega; stepdaughter, Isabel D. Patton, Cumming; grandson, Cade Payne; sister, Cristina Lucci, Florida; and a brother, Peter Karavas, Florida.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, January 28, 2024 at 2 o'clock at Wesley Chapel Methodist Church. Rev. Gary Moore will officiate.
