The light this candle gives is a reminder of the light of Jesus Nick always exhibited to all those around him. Now that I'm back in MI, I surely hope to reconnect to Kathy and the family.

Forever, both Nick and Kathy will remain within my heart. We went to Romania the first time together. Their love, commitment and compassion,to the Lord, each other and the people of Romania were constant. Only now, did I learn of Nick's home going. (I am living in New York) I'm sure Kathy and the family will continue to draw their strength from our Lord. NIck's smile and laughter was contagious. He found joy in things that most wouldn't notice. I always saw Nick as a giant in the faith. He took risks that others would cause others to shudder. He and Kathy made huge contributions to the furtherance of the Gospel. My heart aches...heaven is richer, yet, there's sadness due to Nick's absence from our presence. May the Lord continue to hold Kathy and family within His grace, comfort and peace.
Truly, the Lord was gracious in allowing Nick and Kathy and myself to be part of an amazing journey into Romania. I extend my deepest sympathy to Kathy. Remember that tears are liquid prayers. You're deeply loved.

I love you Dad I never got my chance to say good bye. I'm gonna let you go now and say good bye this hurts so much but I know your not in pain anymore, it's my birthday Daddy next week and I won't hear you say happy birthday Ruthie.. Good bye Dad.
