Nicholas B. Nessler

Nicholas B. Nessler, age 74, passed away at home on Monday, December 8, 2025. On May 29, 1951, Nicholas Bruce was born in Baraboo, to Frederick and Eunice (Winnie) Nessler. Following high school, Nicholas enlisted in the United States Air Force where he was stationed in Cheyenne, Wyoming and Turkey during the Viet Nam War. He had worked for Winnebago County for 20 years. Nicholas had a passion for dancing, most of all, Line Dancing. He also loved being able to ride his motorcycle and enjoy the open road. Although he was a quiet man, he appreciated loud pipes. He loved being a part of his children's lives and cherished watching them have families of their own.
Nicholas will be greatly missed by his loving children: Cynthia Blaskowski, Nicole (Steve Bruss) Nessler, David Nessler, and Sam (Jenn) Nessler; his grandchildren: Alexandria Nessler, Isabel Nessler, and Halen Brogan; his siblings: Carl Nessler, Tim Nessler, Frederick (Diane) Nessler, and Victoria Nessler; his brother-in-law, Gene Ballwig; as well as the mother of his children, Kathy Brogan; his close friends: Harley and Cheryl Heintz; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Winifred Ballwig; and his brothers: William and Peter Nessler.
The Funeral Service for Nicholas will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Kessler Fahrenkrug Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial Street, Neenah, WI 54956. The visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the hour of the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Baraboo.
