Nicholas Bruno Piccinich, 79 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away at home on Tuesday January 16, 2024. Born in Vele Srakane, Italy, he was raised in Croatia and Italy before coming to the United States in 1956 where his family settled in Hoboken, NJ. Nicholas spent many years living in Fort Lee, NJ where he owned and operated his coffee business and finally moved to his long time vacation home in Little Egg Harbor, permanently in 2019.
Nicholas was a communicant of Holy Trinity R.C. Church in Fort Lee, NJ. He enjoyed telling jokes, fishing, cooking, barbecuing, and playing the accordion in his younger years, but he mostly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He loved his garlic, Heineken and fine wine and he also had an affection for dogs.
Nicholas was predeceased by his parents Martin and Maria Piccinich and brother John Piccinich.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Dolores Piccinich (nee Skrivanich), son James Piccinich and wife Diana, daughter Diane Ellwood and husband Frank and son Nicholas Piccinich, sister Maria, brother Bruno, and grandchildren, Angela, Alexandra and Frank II.
Viewing hours will be held on Sunday January 21, 2024, from 6pm to 9pm and Monday January 22 from 9:30am to 11am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday January 22 at 12pm at St. Mary R.C. Church 747 West Bay Avenue Barnegat, NJ 08005 followed by interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Beachview Avenue, Manahawkin.
