Nicholas Scott Rice

Nicholas Scott Rice, known as Nick to friends and family, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. He was born on July 27, 1994 in Memphis, TN. He was an employee at McCaffery Electric of Huntsville, TX through the past year. Nick enjoyed fishing, playing pool, fixing random things, and spending time at the beach. Many will remember him by his very contagious smile and laugh. Nick loved his family and close friends and will be missed dearly by the ones who knew him.
Nick is survived by his mother, Kelli Kackley and her husband, Rob Kackley; father, Kevin Rice and his wife, Margaux Rice; sisters, Courtney Evans and Ashley Rice; step brothers, Garrett Singleton, Gavin Singleton and Christian Kackley; step sister Hannah Kackley; grandmothers, Carol York and Lee Rice; aunts, Amy York, Wendy Gaddis and Terry Rice; cousins, Kalie Oldham, Matthew Oldham, Allie Sweitzer, Zachary Rice, and Kelsey Rice; niece, Autumn Evans; nephews Aspen Evans, Samuel Shipley; and numerous relatives and friends. He is preceded by grandfathers Terry York and George Rice.
A memorial service will be held at Eickenhorst Funeral Services on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 2pm. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kobi Evans, Drew Dolson, Matthew Oldham, Christian Kackley, Brendan Dolson, Taylor Pell.
