Nicholas J. Vicino

Nicholas J. Vicino, 82, of Old Saybrook, beloved husband of 55 years of Mary Ellyn (Clancy) Vicino, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 23, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was born to the late Rosemary (Miller) and Nicholas J. Vicino, Sr., on October 3, 1942. Nick was a dedicated truck driver and had a long, successful career with Connecticut Fast Freight. Outside of work, he enjoyed golf and was a former member of the Wethersfield Country Club and Colonial Country Club, Ft. Myers, FL.
In his later years, Nick's happiest times were spent living at Cornfield Point and spending time with his family. He was always ready and waiting to bring them down to the beach in his golf cart. Of course, after he had prepped the floats, toys, and chairs. Nick adored his children and grandchildren and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Alongside his wife, Mary Ellyn, Nicholas leaves behind his children, Justin Vicino and his wife, Melissa of East Hampton and Julie Tracy and her husband, Joseph of Enfield; his grandchildren, Skylar, Brayden and Sydney Vicino and Alexa and Matthew Tracy; his sister, Rosemary Theriault and her husband, Joseph of Harvard, MA; and his sister-in-law, Susan Vicino of Old Saybrook. Nick was predeceased by his brother, Richard W. Vicino.
Friends and relatives are invited to call on the Vicino family from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Nick's life will follow at 12:00 p.m. in Corpus Christi Church of Christ the King Parish, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield.
