Nicholas Todd Winn, 42, of Fishers, Indiana, passed away on November 24, 2024. He was born on February 13, 1982, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to parents, Brad A. Winn and Marilyn J. (Brandenburg) Winn.
Growing up in Fishers/McCordsville, Indiana, Nick had a fun and adventurous childhood. He never saw himself as different from others despite having a medical condition. His medical experience taught him to be considerate, supportive, and kind to others. Nick made a lot of friends throughout his school years and work life: he bonded with people at Hamilton Southeastern High School, Full Sail, Eddy’s, Guitar Center, Sam Ash, C.R. Heroes, Portrait Innovation, Fionn McCools, Winn Studio, Daddy Real, Indy Air Duct Cleaning, Proportion-Air, and Sonablate. People described him as an incredible and genuine human. Nick brightened many lives.
Nick had always been intelligent, creative, and full of dreams and ideas. His talent allowed him to explore and master many interests in his short lifespan: painting, music, recording, wood-working, sailing (which he taught himself), boating, gardening (which he learned from his dad), and fishing. He dreamed of opening a recording studio in his life, and he was able to fulfill that dream in his 30s. Many artists described him as an awesome audio engineer.
Nick met his beloved wife, Vera, in 2005, and they were married in 2012. Everyone could tell they shared a strong bond and loved each other very much.
His quick wit and sense of humor could always light up the room. He would always give the perfect encouragement and advice to friends and family during their hard times. He had a charismatic personality and a soft and kind soul. Nick was always even keeled and had a positive outlook in life despite the medical conditions he had faced since he was born. His purpose and legacy in this world were to inspire all of us to be kind, optimistic and strong.
Nick is survived by his loving wife, Vera Winn; his parents; his furry companion, Finnegan; his stepmother, Sharon; his brother, Andrew, and extended family.
