Sharon Moore, a devoted mother, grandmother, and unwavering source of love and encouragement, passed away peacefully, just as she always hoped—quickly and without pain. A proud native Hoosier, Sharon carried Midwestern values of hard work, humility, and perseverance throughout her life. While Indiana was always home at heart, she also possessed the courage and curiosity to step beyond what was familiar. Over the years, she made several meaningful moves, living in Phoenix, Dallas, Texas, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Charlotte, North Carolina. Though she was never afraid to try something new or embrace change, Sharon remained deeply connected to her family and made a point to stay near them through the majority of her life’s transitions. Family was always her anchor. Sharon lived her life with quiet strength, grace, and resilience. She had a sharp wit and a wonderful sense of humor, and she was almost always smiling or laughing. She had an extraordinary ability to find the positive in any situation and rarely dwelled on the negative. Her optimism was genuine and deeply felt by those around her. As a single mother, Sharon raised her children with unwavering dedication, sacrifice, and love. She consistently found ways to meet their needs—and often exceed them—despite limited resources. She gave selflessly of herself, always putting her family first and never seeing any sacrifice as too great. Throughout her life, Sharon was a tireless worker. She spent many years as an interior decorator, where her impeccable style and remarkable ability to visualize what a space set her apart. Her eye for detail, creativity, and natural talent were truly uncanny. Later in life, she worked closely with her sons, becoming a vital and trusted presence as they built their first company. Her support extended far beyond work—she offered belief, encouragement, and steady reassurance during every step of their journey. Sharon was most proud of her children and grandchildren. She believed deeply in their potential and stood firmly beside them through challenges and triumphs alike. One of her greatest gifts was her unwavering belief—especially when others doubted. That belief changed lives and created confidence that endures to this day. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and traveling whenever she could, appreciating the beauty the world had to offer and noticing details others might miss. She found joy in new places, new surroundings, and new possibilities—never fearful of change, but instead welcoming it as an opportunity for growth.

Sharon is survived by her children Leslie Kiffmeyer (Fritz) and Thomas Moore (Tricia); her grandchildren Peter, Ryland, Cory, Haley, Jacob, and Zachary Moore; her sister Shirley Yarborough; along with nieces, nephews, and extended family members who loved her deeply. She was preceded in death by her beloved son David Moore, as well as Larry Smith, Devaugh Smith, and Lorene Smith.

Above all else, Sharon will be remembered for her selflessness, strength, and unconditional love. Her legacy lives on through the values she instilled—resilience, kindness, optimism, and belief in others. She gave more than she ever asked for and loved more deeply than she ever let on. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but her influence will endure for generations. Reflection: Her greatest legacy is not found in what she owned or accomplished, but in the lives she shaped through her love, belief, and quiet strength. She showed us how to face life with courage, kindness, and optimism—and that love, freely given, never fades.
