Barbara Ann Glink Moore, of Neshannock Township, formerly of Randall Drive passed away the morning of February 6, 2026 at Cranberry Place.

She was born in New Castle on August 23, 1938, the daughter of Stanley J. Sr. and Veronica Skanesky Glink.

She married Richard W. Moore in 1959; they were divorced in 1991. She subsequently married Martin J. Valko in 2003 and together they became enthusiastic world travelers. He preceded her in death in 2008.

Barbara was a devoted, caring mother and raised a wonderful, loving family in addition to having a successful, satisfying career as a professional nurse.

She graduated in 1955 from New Castle High School and received a nursing diploma from the New Castle Hospital School of Nursing in 1958. She earned a BS degree Magna cum Laude from Youngstown State University in 1974, a Master's Degree in Education from Westminster College in 1980, and a Master's Degree in Nursing Administration from Gannon University in 1993. She was listed in the first edition of Who's Who in Nursing.

She was employed by Jameson Memorial Hospital for forty-two years and was a Professional Nurse Educator at the School of Nursing there for 36 of those years. She also held a part-time faculty position at Gannon University for three years.

She was a devout Catholic and belonged to Holy Spirit Parish. She had been an active member of St. Camillus Parish where she was a former Eucharistic Minister and member of Parish Council. She also was a member of the Ladies Guild and helped with the bereavement support group for many years.

She is survived by daughter Nancy J. Sorenson and her husband Kent of Wisconsin and a son David A. Moore, his wife Lori, and their children Maxwell and Madison of Moon Township, PA. She is also survived by two step grandchildren, Dominic and Genna Romano, a brother-in-law, Sam Pawlowski, a sister-in-law, Ann Glink, three nieces and three nephews. A host of cousins make up a loving extended family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Pawlowski and a brother, Stanley Glink.

Family and Friends will gather for a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 13th at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Camillus Church. Father Aaron Kriss will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.
