Nick Bolan Obituary
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Mr. Bolan will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Wednesday.
Mr. Bolan passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Lineville Health and Rehabilitation in Lineville, Alabama.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Carol Wyatt Bolan of Roanoke; one son, Russ Bolan of Woodland; daughter-in-law, Karyn Bolan of Roanoke; five grandchildren, Ashley Robinson, Amanda Kirby, Kasey Vollenweider, Dalton Bolan and Ashton Bolan; three great-grandchildren, Brantley Robinson, Raelyn Robinson, and Emmett Vollenweider.
Pallbearers will be Dalton Bolan, Brian Robinson, Andrew Vollenweider, Chance Hill, Jeffrey Wyatt, and Gary Sasser.
A Chambers County native, Mr. Bolan was born on January 2, 1936, the son of Newton Lee and Fannie Latham Bolan. He was a member of Rock Stand Congregational Christian Church and was a United States Army veteran. Mr. Bolan was the owner and operator of Bolan's Pest Control before his retirement, and he loved Alabama football. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Scott Bolan; three sisters, Lottie Smith, Jessie Stewart, and Eva Puckett; and three brothers, Robert, Sherman and Denson Bolan.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Research Children's Hospital at 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
