Nickolas Oscar Grant Parra

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Nickolas Oscar Grant Parra, also known to many as Bishop Brigante - considered Canada's top Hip Hop freestyle champion - on March 30, 2025 at his home in Mount Hope, Ontario. Born on May 11, 1978 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Nickolas was a revered figure in his community, and cherished by those who knew him. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know him.

Nickolas is survived by his devoted partner Melanie, his loving parents, Patricia and Oscar; his cherished children Carlito and Adrienna, his brothers, David, Karl, Chris, and Julien; his beloved Auntie Barbara and Uncle Lawrence; and his treasured cousins, Jennifer, Katrina, Sonya, Cindy, Daeya, John, Johnathan, and Robby. His memory will also be forever cherished by his family of nieces and nephews, Kennedy, Kordell, Julian, Morgan, Steven, Michael, Malique, Hasana, Mackenzie, Jack, Ashley, Jelani, Sharik, Jayden and Dae'ja - all who brought so much joy to his life.

Our memories will always be filled with the great times we had as a family and we're so sad that you're gone. We'll all see you again in paradise.

In keeping with the wishes of Nickolas and his family, he has been privately cremated. The family extends their heartfelt thanks for your understanding and support during this difficult time.
