Nicholas Eugene Garrett, age 57, passed away suddenly on February 6th, 2025. Nicholas was a loving husband, father, stepfather, brother, grandfather, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Nicholas is survived by his beloved wife, Jill L. Garrett, the love of his life with whom he shared love, laughter, and cherished memories. He is also survived by his children: Nicholas Garrett (wife Casey), Michael Garrett, Caitlin Garrett, and his bonus children: Amanda Fitzgerald (Kevin) and Amber Brown (Joey) Additionally, he leaves behind his siblings, Emmanuel Garrett and Christine Robinson. Nicholas was a proud grandfather to his eight grandchildren: Amelia, Ava, Nicholas, Nathaniel, Lucas, Ella, Lily, and Addison, all of whom brought him endless joy and whom he adored deeply.
A gifted handyman and expert remodeler, Nicholas was known for his incredible craftsmanship and attention to detail. Whether he was transforming a home or offering help to a friend in need, his skill and dedication were unmatched, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he worked with.
Outside of his work, Nicholas was a passionate football fan, with a deep love for the Miami Dolphins. He spent many joyful hours with his wife Jill watching games and sharing his enthusiasm with friends and family, always eager to cheer for his team.
Nicholas's kindness, humor, and generosity touched the lives of all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and fond memories that will never be forgotten.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a visitation from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at St. Johns Family Funeral Home in St. Augustine,
A celebration of Nicholas's life will be held at a later date when his son can arrive home from deployment. The family invites all who loved him to join in honoring his life and legacy.
