Nicole "Nikki" Moore was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Ruby Moore on February 22, 1972. She worked in the Tangipahoa Parish School System for many years as an educator and teaching multiple subjects. She grew up in Independence, Louisiana which was also where she graduated high school. Thereafter, she moved to Hammond where she attended Southeastern University graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology.

Nicole leaves to cherish her memory, her two sons Hurlen and Anthony Guillory; her brothers Jerry Moore (Judy), Jeffery Moore (Andrea), Raymond Moore (Shelly), and Michael Moore (Carol).

She is preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Moore, her brothers Anthony, and Derrick Moore.

Nicole loved helping others in need which was one of her many God given gifts; she made time for others, but her sons would encourage her to focus and take time for herself. Although this was a heartfelt sentiment, she always knew and felt the presence of a higher calling in her life. Nicole's higher purpose displayed this extraordinary service for the Lord with honor, dignity, and respect.

Nicole loved preparing scrumptious meals of fried chicken for Hurlen and whatever Anthony's heart desired. She left wonderful, fond memories with her sons, family, and friends. One such memory was when she drove everyone around the Bahamas in a local Bahamian rental car, but she could not read a map! She was convinced that Anthony and Hurlen were drunk, so she refused to let them drive. This was who she was: a person that acknowledged the right things to do in life. This will remain as a constant reminder of a life well lived.

Nicole's love and wisdom given to her sons and everyone around her will be cherished and never forgotten. The loss we feel is also a lesson learned which has become a blessing in disguise. Although we lost our Mom, I know we all gained an Angel because the night sky is a little brighter now.

I am so sorry to hear of Ms. Nicole's passing. She was truly a woman of God. She helped me through one of the darkest times in my life. She didn't mind telling it like it is, and I appreciated that about her so much. She imparted knowledge, wisdom and she was a great encourager. Ms. Nicole didn't mind praying for you and she always had a smile. I know without a doubt she loved God! She will be truly missed! Fly High you earned your wings!

Although I never got the chance to meet Nicole, I worked with her mom and brother Jeff at the hospital. From their personalities
I'm sure Nicole was just as precious. May God bless this family during the grieving process and in years to come.
