Nicolette Bruner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Carmichael Funeral Homes - Marietta on May 6, 2025.
Nicolette Diprima Bruner, 95, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lois Diprima of Rome, Georgia. Born and raised in her childhood home, Nicolette attended Girls' High School and Carol Lynn School of Business Administration in Rome, and Barry University (formerly Barry College) in Miami, Florida. She was the youngest of eight children and a first-generation Sicilian-American, as her father emigrated from Sutera, Sicily, through Ellis Island, New York.
In 2020, Nicolette was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Bruner, Jr., whom she married September 8, 1950. She is survived by her children, William G. Bruner III (Judi), of Savannah and Elizabeth Bruner (Jim) Sutton, of Marietta, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Nicolette will be especially remembered for her activities over her lifetime as an avid golfer, a Duplicate Bridge life master, a world traveler, and a social hostess for friends and family. Embracing a benevolent heart, Nicolette graciously donated her time to many charities and organizations. Professionally, she was best recognized for her skills as a real estate broker. Her greatest joys were her faith and family. Famous for her support and encouragement to all she knew, Nicolette could often be heard reciting her favorite mantra: "When you do your best, the angels in Heaven couldn't do better."
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 9 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Marietta at 10 am, followed by a private interment at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, in the name of Nicolette D. Bruner. https://www.stjude.org/donate/
