Clyde Harry Gilbert Sr.

Clyde Harry Gilbert, Sr, age 80 of Marietta, Georgia left to be with his savior on February 23, 2026. He is survived by his wife Patricia Towery Gilbert after 60 years, his children Clyde Gilbert, Jr with his wife Ashley, and James Gilbert with his wife April. His grandchildren Victoria with Kyle McCarter, Zoe Abrozetti, Connor Gilbert, Liam Gilbert with Ali McElhaney, and Kale Gilbert were fortunate to have a loving grandfather.

Harry grew up in Kennesaw, one of the original Gilberts of Gilbert road where they grew various crops and pioneered the Gilbert Brothers' Canning Company. This is where he learned a love for growing things and seeing things thrive that was an important part of his life. He graduated from North Cobb High School in 1963. After high school, he worked as an office manager and primary contributor to Harold Sales and Service for over 30 years. He found his calling with Cobb County Sheriff's Department where he dedicated 26 years of compassionate service to his fellow man. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather and friend to many.

A Celebration of Life will be held 12 PM, Friday, February 27, 2026 at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta. The family will receive friends before the service from 10 AM until service time. Burial will follow at New Salem Cemetery.
