NIKITA DENISE WASHINGTON

Nikita Washington entered into eternal rest at Baylor St. Luke Medical Center in Houston, TX on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the age of 41. She was a native of Avondale, LA and a resident of Houston, TX. Nikita was a graduate of L. W. Higgins High School and employed as a Customer Service Rep. with AAA Roadside Assistance. She was formerly employed with Ochsner Medical Center as a Medical Assistant for 10 years. Devoted mother of Da’Ja Mitchell and Jonas Pierce. Beloved daughter of Cephus Washington, Sr. and the late Mary Louise Washington. Loving sister of NaTasha Washington, Debra Washington, Atressa Sanders, Marcus Washington, Byron Thomas, and Cephus Washington, Jr. Aunt of Cedrionne, Prince, Saniya, Bryan, Marchelle, Torica, and the late Tashay. Niece of Audry Wysingle, Barbara Tuckson, Sally Wilson, Alvin Wilson, Peter Wilson, Arthur Wilson, and Donald Ray Wilson. Sister-in-law of Shawanda Washington; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
