Nikolas Christopher George, affectionately known as Nik, was born on April 25, 1998, in Red Bank, New Jersey. He passed away on September 9, 2023, in McCormick, South Carolina, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and enduring spirit.
Nik was a beloved son, brother, and father. He is survived by his four-year-old son, Hayden George, and his mother Elizabeth Gibbs George. He was the son of Christopher Scott George of Calhoun Falls, SC, and Suzanne Lyn "Sue" White of McCormick, SC. He is also survived by his brother, Robert George of Augusta; sisters, Savanna Couey of Aiken and Amy George of Maryland; and his grandmothers, Judith Jones of McCormick and Linda George of Long Branch, NJ.
Nik moved to Lincolnton in his high school years and graduated from LCHS in 2016. He had lived in McCormick for the past two years and was currently enrolled in Grand Canyon University.
In his professional life, Nik was a successful manager of Michelle's Pizza, often working 60 to 70 hours a week. His work ethic was unparalleled, always striving to serve his customers with a smile.
Sports were a significant part of Nik's life. A die-hard Jets fan, he also had a deep love for Penn State and the Yankees. He enjoyed playing golf and soccer, his competitive spirit always shining through. Whether it was a friendly game or a heated match, Nik played with heart and a laugh that would fill the room.
Nik had a love for the simple pleasures in life. His favorite foods were pizza and his dad's coffee, which he would often sneak a cup of. He enjoyed a cold Coke Zero while watching his favorite television series, Family Guy. He was also an avid video game player, with FIFA, Madden, and Call of Duty being his games of choice.
Music played a significant role in Nik's life, with Maroon 5 holding a special place in his heart and considered himself to be their biggest fan.
In his 25 years, Nik touched many lives with his kindness, his laughter, and his love for life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Funeral services for Nik will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at 2pm at Hephzibah Baptist Church. A private interment will follow in the White Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6pm until 8pm at Beggs Funeral Home in Lincolnton.
