MR. TONEY TA'SHAWN GROSS, age 34, of Augusta, GA, passed on Saturday, September 27th, 2025, at the Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center in Augusta, GA. Family members and friends may call at the funeral home. THOMSON FUNERAL SYSTEM,

On Tuesday, February 5, 1991, a baby boy was born to Linda Joyce West Gross and the late Toney Gross in Augusta, Georgia whom they named Toney Ta'Shawn Gross. He was adored and nurtured by his parents and his big sister.
Toney accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age an attended various churches within the local area.
He was formally educated in the McDuffie County School District of Georgia where he graduated from Thomson High School,
Thomson, Georgia with the Class of 2009. After high school, he attended Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia.
Having a desire to tackle the workforce, Toney began working for Walmart Pharmacy as a Certified Technician only to find out that his true calling was in the field of Communication. Gifted with the ability to communicate with others, Toney began working for T-Mobile Call Center in Augusta, Georgia. Toney enjoyed working for T-Mobile and remained gainfully employed with the company until his demise.
Toney loved his family dearly and was very dedicated to all. His special interests included fashion, music and entertaining. He never met a stranger, had a great sense of humor and loved being the "life of the party." Toney was affectionately known as "Remy LeBeau" by family members, extended family members and friends.
On Saturday, September 27, 2025, Toney was called from his earthly labor into heavenly reward. At the then tender age of 34, he departed this life peacefully while a patient at the Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center in Augusta, GA. In addition to his father, our beloved Toney Ta'Shawn Gross is preceded in death by dear loved ones: a brother, Trevion Gross; his maternal grandparents, John & Eloise West; his paternal grandparents, Florence Hamilton Gross and Willie L. Fountain; three maternal aunts, Bernice Stone, Mary Stone and Diana Stone; three paternal aunts, Darlena Gross Bouttry, (twins) Lizzie Bell Gross and Hazel Gross; one maternal uncle, Johnnie West; one paternal uncle, David Gross.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving mother, Linda G. (Antonio) Myricks; a loving sister, Nykia Gross; a precious niece, Alexandria Lindsey; four aunts, Mary Alice Stone, Annette Stone, Doris (John) Nelson and Mary Ann (James) Hampton; two uncles, Johnnie West and James (Madie) Gross; six special cousins, NeKa Holden, Pamela Robinson, Drika Stone, Reshema Stone, Toria West and Resha Freeman; two best friends, Tiffany Davis and Quan Lewis; a host of additional cousins, other relatives, extended family members and many more additional friends.
