Nile "Deloris" Gribble, 86, of Parkersburg, WV went home to her Lord and loving husband, April 1, 2025 at her residence surrounded by loving family.
A daughter of the late Daniel and Catherine Eddy, Deloris was born April 1, 1939 in Cairo, WV. Deloris worked as a loan advisor at Beneficial State Bank before retiring. She was a devoted Christian and spent most of her time serving humbly for her Lord. She was a member of 14th Ave. Gospel Mission Church, held several office positions through the years at the church, taught Sunday School, and enjoyed getting together with her church friends to play Bunco. She enjoyed cooking and baking, but most of all, Deloris loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Deloris was preceded in death by her beloved Husband of 52 years, Howard Dale Gribble; siblings, Rodger, John, William, Mary, and Thelma; and her infant twin great-grandchildren, Oliver and Ellie Bennett.
She is survived by her two daughters, Debbie Gribble LaPan (Steven) of Williamsburg, VA and Sherry Gribble Steele of Parkersburg, WV; sister, Belva Ayers; brother, Sonny Hendrickson (Libby); bonus son, Tim Burch (Missy); grandchildren, Justin Kidder (Meagan), Khaila Bennett (Dorsey), Dustin Steele, Andrew Sajdak-LaPan (Brittany), Hope Nicholson, Ariel LaPan (Stephen), Torie Cunningham, Emmanuel LaPan, and Trent LaPan; life-long sister, Sue Gribble; 18 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and several other extended family members who will miss her dearly.
A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Amedisys Hospice, CCMC Infusion Center, and Hannah Rice for their service dedicated to the family during this time.
Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 14th Ave. Gospel Mission Church with Pastor Tim Burch officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, April 7, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home South and one hour prior to service at the church.
Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home is honored to serve the Gribble family.
