It is with profound sadness that the family of Nina Eeg Howe wish to announce her unexpected passing on July 8, 2025.
Nina was born on Nov. 10, 1957 in Montreal, and following her marriage, she and Dave chose Calgary as their forever home.
She is survived by her siblings Diana, Astri, Ragnar (Gloria), Carl (Therese), Sister in law Debbie and Brother in law Alan, as well as many nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews. She is predeceased by her husband David, parents Anton and Yvonne Eeg, and by her brothers-in-law Saad (Diana) and Berdj (Astri), and sister-in-law Karen Nina leaves behind her 2 beloved greyhound fur babies (Twig & Silver), many loving friends, and a large community of fellow greyhound rescue enthusiasts.
Nina was our Angel on Earth. A calming nature who had a natural affinity with animals. She was loving, caring, compassionate, gentle, generous, and funny. We will miss her endless kindness, quick wit, and dry sense of humour the most.
A celebration of life will be arranged and determined at a later time.
Donations in Nina's memory can be made to Northern Sky Greyhound Adoption or Northwest Canadian Greyhound League
